Príncipe Real is an upscale area and it is considered one of the most fashionable areas in the city. It remains a residential area with gardens and mansions. The old buildings are being charmly renovated, bringing a new generation of young people to this area.

Neighborhood Overview

Around the apartment you will find Minipreço supermarket, some grocery stores, Praça das Flores, a beautiful and romantic garden with a fountain in the middle, where you can read a book, drink a coffee or have a meal in one of its restaurants and terraces.
Pão de Canela terrace offers one of the best brunches in Lisbon, on weekends. Escola Politécnica St. and D. Pedro V St. are known for their fashion shops, trendy restaurants, fine pastries, lively terraces and panoramic views. On Saturdays, there is an organic market on Principe Real garden, where you will find a wide variety of healthy fruits and vegetables from Portuguese producers.
Down the hill, on São Bento St., you will find the Portuguese Parliament and a variety of antique shops, as well as Amália Rodrigues museum house. The famous Café de São Bento is on this street; here you can taste the best steak in Lisbon!
The famous San Pedro de Alcântara belvedere is also very close and you can enjoy the stunning view over Lisbon! On the banks of Tagus River, you can ride a bike and admire the views.
